Florence Monday
My name is Florence Monday. I am a Head Teacher at LOB. I have been working at LULAC Head Start since 2009. I have worked in ECE for more than 27 years. My favorite hobbies are preaching, gospel singing, reading and writing. I come from a large family and we all have one thing in common: travelling. My favorite book is the Bible.
Minna White-Gomes
Hi! My name is Minna White. I’ve been a Teacher Assistant at LULAC Head Start since July 2016. I’ve worked in early childhood with infants and toddler since February 1999 at other daycare centers in New Haven. I really enjoy working with infants/toddlers and watching as they reach each milestone in their development. I enjoy watching movies, playing games, and eating great meals with my family. One of my favorite books that I like to read to the children is "Owl Babies" by Martin Waddell. I also like reading Eric Carle books to the children. I really enjoy what I do as a childcare provider. The work I do with children is challenging at times but very rewarding to me.
Amanda DeMayo
My name is Ms. Amanda. I am a Classroom Assistant for the infant toddler classrooms. I am primarily located at the FMC location. I have worked in childcare since 2015. However, I started my LULAC journey in August 2019 and love my position. I am thankful for the opportunity to teach, get to know your children and watch them grow. When I am not at LULAC, I am at home with my 6 year old daughter. We enjoy baking, legos, and painting together.
